Questions related to the submission of drawings
How do I provide correct drawings?
In order for you to receive a quote quickly, it is necessary that the digital drawings are drawn in a correct way. It is important that the contours are closed and that the drawing does not contain any frames, sizes or edits. Use this link to consult the guidelines for the correct delivery of drawings.
What kind of drawings can be used for requests for quotations?
I need a quotation for laser cutting alone. Which drawings can I provide?
Upload a 2D drawing per piece in one of the following file formats: dxf, dwg, step.
I need a quotation for laser cutting and bending. Which drawings can I provide?
Upload a 3D drawing per piece in one of the following file formats: .dxf, .dwg, .stp, .step.
Why can’t I upload any assemblies?
The system cannot read specifications for materials and thickness from the supplied drawings. Specifications for materials and thickness should be entered in the portal.
I have received an e-mail saying the drawings are not closed. What does this mean?
With the exception of the engraving lines, all lines on the parts that are uploaded must be closed. Each part must be drawn on a single layer and only that layer should be visible. All other layers, e.g. with frames and sizes, must be hidden. Each drawing may only contain a single piece. You can use a layer named ‘engraving’ if you want to highlight or add a text reference to your part.
Can I have a reference engraved on the material?
A marking can be applied to the parts if desired. These markings must be indicated in a layer called ‘engraving'. Markings are displayed in blue on the quotation.
